Fleet modernisation is mostly subtraction. This is the part where something arrives.
flyExclusive added its first Cessna Citation XLS Gen2 to its operating certificate. Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jim Segrave described the type as a well-balanced aircraft option for customers that strengthens the company’s midsize capability as part of its fleet modernisation.
The strategy it belongs to
The company continues to update its fleet by phasing out older aircraft and concentrating on a narrower group of types: the CJ3+, the XLS and the Challenger. In-house maintenance facilities support those aircraft to improve availability and streamline operations — the practical benefit of running fewer types deeply rather than many types shallowly.
The aeroplane
- Up to 8 passengers.
- Range of approximately 1,839 nautical miles.
- Built in the United States by Textron Aviation.
- A quieter, brighter cabin with redesigned seating, improved lighting and modern connectivity.
- The XLS’s established dependability, efficient operating cost and short-field capability, unchanged.
Aircraft detail is on the Citation Excel / XLS page, and the whole fleet is on Our Fleet.
