The Mobile Service Unit programme, explained

An aircraft on ground is not a maintenance problem. It is a schedule problem that happens to need a technician.

The Mobile Service Unit programme exists for the discrepancies that do not justify — or cannot wait for — a ferry flight to a hangar. Units are dispatched to the aircraft with technicians, tooling and the parts a common AOG actually turns on.

How a call is handled

  • The discrepancy is triaged against the aircraft’s type and configuration before anyone is dispatched.
  • Parts are pulled from the fleet’s own pool where the type is one flyExclusive operates.
  • Where a repair cannot be completed on the ramp, the unit’s job becomes making the aircraft ferryable, not fixing it in place.

Who it covers

The programme serves the flyExclusive fleet and third-party operators. The response line runs around the clock — the point of an AOG service that keeps business hours is difficult to explain.

Coverage, contact routes and current response areas are on the MSU / AOG Response page.
