Medical conditions can create an impasse, and, unfortunately, this can spell disaster for many children and young adults. Families become trapped between needing to travel for life-saving medical care and facing seemingly unbeatable risks that can be associated with air travel. From the close quarters to the risk of disease transmission, these flights can spell disaster for children who already are facing the toughest of battles. This is the driving force behind AeroAngel and their private flights.
AeroAngel is a private flights service that provides these children and young adults free flights on private jets when there is no other safe option for them. This gives them the ability to get the potentially life-saving treatment that may have otherwise been completely impossible. These jets are staffed with highly trained professionals that ensure the child and family reach their destination efficiently and feel completely safe and secure throughout their journey. The flights are funded by donations, and through the help of many generous donors, performed nearly 70 flights in 2021 alone. AeroAngel stands alone in this regard, as it is the only aviation charity of its kind.
Here at flyExclusive, we truly understand and value the importance of giving back. Over the course of our company history, we have contributed countless hours to various causes. From assisting in Mary’s Kitchen to hosting a pet adoption event for the SPCA, we believe in using our position to help others. Our ability to provide private flights has given us the unique position for us and our private Flight Club Members to contribute to this incredible cause. For this reason, we have partnered with AeroAngel and have provided lifesaving private flights for several children already!
Leonidas (Leo) Gonzalez was born with Tetralogy of Fallot, Complete Digeorge Syndrome, and several holes in his heart. These conditions lead to many health issues and surgical treatments from a very young age. Unfortunately, they also lead to concerns about Leo’s immune system, which made commercial air travel a large, and potentially deadly, concern. flyExclusive was able to assist Leo and his family with private flights to Duke Medical Center.
flyExclusive was also able to help a young boy named Archer in a similar manner. Providing Archer and his family with a flight to Boston Children’s, Archer was able to undergo potentially life-saving surgery. The young child underwent biventricle heart repair and has since spent his time recovering!
