With flyExclusive’s private flight club, Members get access to our entire Jet Club fleet. Our fleet, the second largest Citation operator in the world, is comprised of various planes that fall into Light, Mid, and Super Mid classifications and those who fly with us receive a customized private jet service that anticipates your needs for comfort and consistency. Wherever you dream of flying, our floating fleet of 80+ aircraft is ready to take you there. This being said, what are the differences between the classes of aircraft, and what are the advantages of each?

Light vs. Mid-Sized Jets

As far as our Jet Club Light jets go, the Cessna Citation CJ3 and the Cessna Citation Encore+ stand out against our fleet. These aircraft are capable of flying longer distances and, with a shortened takeoff length of 3,180 feet, can get you into and out of smaller airports. The CJ3 is capable of seating six while the Encore+ can seat up to eight people with both aircraft models supporting WiFi and pets on board. If you’re trying to fly into a small city like Teterboro, New Jersey with a small group of friends or family, booking a Light jet will get you there with ease, especially with the CJ3’s range of 2,040 nautical miles.

The Mid jet class houses the most prevalent plane model within our private flight club fleet. The Citation Excel/XLS is a Midsized jet that is capable of flying you and seven other passengers to small airports, large destinations, or from the east coast to your dream island getaway. The Citation Excel is one of the most highly efficient jets on the market which makes it incredibly desirable when scheduling your private flights.

Mid Vs. Super Mid-Sized Jets

When considering how our Mid jets stack up to the Super Mid as opposed to the Light Jets, it’s important to evaluate the pure size of the aircraft. Our Mid jets can fit at most eight passengers on any given flight. This is coupled with a three-and-a-half-hour maximum range (depending on the total weight of luggage and passengers) and 90 cubic feet of storage space total.

As far as Super Mid Jets, flyExclusive provides both the Citation X and Citation Sovereign aircraft for all private Jet Club Members to use. These aircraft seat eight to nine people with a range of five or six hours, respectively. While the Citation X only has 82 cubic feet of storage space, slightly less than the Mid-sized Citation Excel XLS, the increased range and extra seating still make it an amazing option, especially for longer travel, such as traveling from coast to coast. The Citation Sovereign is larger still, featuring the extra seating as well as 135 cubic feet of storage, 45 extra cubic feet over our Midsize options. This Sovereign offers a spacious cabin, plentiful storage, and the ability to fly from ski slopes to beaches all in one beautiful aircraft.
